THE CAUSE
The Big Yellow Pipeline Challenge is a 600-kilometre community ride raising funds for The Nest, a Youth Futures' program supporting young parents and their babies in Perth.
The Nest walks alongside young parents experiencing homelessness, housing instability or unsafe living situations. It provides flexible, practical support tailored to each family. Case management. Parenting support. Help connecting to maternal health services, early learning and community. And for those who need it, transitional accommodation in Perth's northern suburbs while they work toward long-term housing.
The support does not stop at one thing. It stays for as long as it takes. Because that is what it takes to help a young family truly find their feet.
Last year, 163 young families who needed The Nest could not be supported. The need was there. The families were there. The capacity was not. This ride exists to change that.

ABOUT YOUTH FUTURES
In 1985, a small group of locals in Joondalup saw young people doing it tough and chose to act. They found a house, opened the doors, and Youth Futures was born.
Forty years later that commitment has not changed. Every year Youth Futures walks alongside hundreds of young people across WA through accommodation, education, emergency relief, community connection and more. Because every young person deserves someone in their corner.
