Youth Futures
Established in 2015, the Office Solutions IT Pipeline Challenge is Youth Futures flagship fundraising event. Youth Futures is one of Western Australia’s oldest youth-specific charities and has been giving young people the support and skills they need for over 30 years. After starting out as a simple idea to minimise young people experiencing homelessness back in 1988, we decided to adopt a more holistic approach to helping young people. As a result, our organisation grew to encompass a wide range of services such as:
- Accommodation and support for homeless young people
- Activities and intensive support for young refugees
- Alternative education for those disengaged with mainstream education
- Driving programs for disadvantaged young people
- Drug Education and Support for homeless young people
- Emergency Relief (food hampers, clothing, medicine, furniture) for young people under financial stress, and
- Mental Health Support for young people accessing our service
The Nest
The Office Solutions IT Pipeline Challenge was created to raise funds specifically for the Nest program which provides accommodation and support to young parents at risk of losing custody of their baby due to homelessness or domestic violence. Since 2008 the Nest has supported hundreds of young families and in 2021/22 all Nest children were kept together with their parents - a tremendous achievement, not possible without the support of the Office Solutions IT Pipeline Challenge. Due to the success of the ride, we're now able to fund the Nest program and pick an additional program for the Pipeline Challenge funds to support.
