About Youth Futures
We believe that every young person matters, regardless of the circumstances they find themselves in.
Youth Futures is one of Western Australia’s oldest youth-specific charities and has been given young people the support and skills they need for 30 years. After starting out as a simple idea to minimise youth homelessness back in 1988, we decided to adopt a more holistic approach to helping young people. As a result, our organisation grew to encompass a wide range of services such as:
Accommodation and support for homeless young people
Activities and intensive support for young refugees
Alternative education for disengaged youth and early school leavers
Counselling for young victims of crime
Driving programs for disadvantaged young people
Drug Education and Support for homeless young people, and
Emergency Relief (food hampers, clothing, medicine, furniture) for young people in financial stress.
Our passionate team of tertiary-qualified staff deliver each of these programs in a relaxed and non-judgmental environment that will empower them to create a plan for a brighter future. Each young person we help is an individual with their own story and needs, however some common threads include mental health issues, parental abuse and drug use, domestic violence, teen pregnancy, learning difficulties, and bullying.
Above all, we truly believe that with our help the possibilities are endless. That’s why we launched the Pipeline Challenge. To ensure we can help as many young people as possible.
